I volunteer in the special Olympics for my last two years of high school. Right after that, I volunteered at the Recreational center in South Park and worked with elementary and preschool students for about a year. Since then, I have been working in-school and after school programs with children ranging from ages 4-12.

One of my favorite things to do with children is arts and crafts. I can make a variety of crafts. I usually like to have a theme for the week to teach a lesson and have a hands-on experience to keep kids intrigued. Some examples are Summer adventures, Ocean Animal arts, Earth Day crafting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
With my years of experience I believe the most important part of being a nanny is making the children feel safe and seen. A child will blossom if they feel understood, heard, and loved. Making all the little moments feel big to a child causes a chain reaction into making them feel like everything they do has great meaning. Which then leads to them having big dreams and less fear of failing. I believe that the first few years of their life are what makes them who they are in the future, childhood is extremely important!
