A little bit about me

I’m 34 and I’ve been a nanny for every age between 1 day old-17yrs old.I have 22 years experience and I’m from a family of 6.I have an older brother,sister ,then me:), two younger sisters and one younger brother. We are all from Los Angeles. We spend everyday together including mom and dad of course. We are very close. I have a huge imagination. I’m over the top goofy and funny ( I think so ;) ) I get that from my amazing father. I love fixing, Building and using my hands. my dad and I have built/repaired many things since I was a very small child. I hardly ever leave a task undone. I would also ask my sisters to play dress up! Best of both and all worlds. I love all animals. I have two dogs. I’ve worked with dogs as well. My family is my world. I have that silly side but also when situations arise, calm, understanding and the ability listen, compromise if so, and work out a solution together. I have a calm kind and loving demeanor. I pride myself on all above but most, my patience.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered with multiple kindergarten classes, daycares, birthday parties with one other nanny. We were the eyes and ears for the adults. I’ve worked children’s parties as the single nanny , adults present but I took charge when arranging the 50 children to line up for a fun water ballon game. Making sure they were safe on the play equipment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety is always number one. 10 steps ahead, watching my surroundings at every moment to ensure safety of every child involved. Understanding, loving caring, allowing the child to express themselves emotionally physically and to guide them. I worked for a family for 12 years and seen how beautifully they’ve turned out as teenagers 16 and 18 is the most amazing. I see myself in them and it’s incredible and I never thought to even think I would see that as the years were going by and it was very special and it’s still special to this day. Being a part of a family as a nanny is just such a wonderful blessing. Also, the most important part about being a nanny, you gotta know how to make a fort.

My experience with special needs children...

Autistic, delayed speech, no speech, this wonderful child was eight years old, but she had the knowledge of a two-year-old and she was the most precious girl I’ve ever met. Please excuse me if I didn’t use that term properly.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Anything imagination. Treasure hunts, detective work, where we use notepads and crayons, and draw what we see. Identify insects as we draw them. Park play library cooking dinner for the children and enjoying a meal with them is one of the most wonderful things and so memorable to me, we just sat there and we enjoyed our meal and they told me about their day and it was beautiful
