My recent relevant experience was in 2023. I was an Educational Nanny for a 2-yr-old Girl, Housekeeper, and Mother's Helper with Newborn for 1 year. I provided a fun, nurturing, and educational environment where the girl felt safe, loved, happy, engaged, and inspired. I worked at building a secure attachment-style relationship with her and inspired her to take risks and take her learning one step further. I offered unconditional support and positive reinforcement, and provided her with the necessary tools to make her own meaningful discoveries. I consistently used words of encouragement, asked open-ended questions, showed empathy, acknowledged her feelings, set appropriate boundaries, positively redirected behavior, and showed a genuine interest in her life. I assisted mom with newborn including feeding, diaper changing, playing, bathing, soothing, putting to sleep, and administering medication. I assisted in all daily housekeeping duties & I also traveled with family.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love infusing education into play whenever possible. It is through play that children learn best! I follow their lead and it is through their passions that you can incorporate every aspect of learning for optimal learning. The great outdoors and the library are my favorites! Nature and books are such an incredible avenue for growth and development.
