Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Back in PA I was a part time Nanny for two beautiful little ones ages 3 yr and 18 months. They teach me every day we spend together. How lucky I am that they now are family. Every trip back home seeing them is a top priority!! Love my kiddos!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything to get us both outdoors!! Maybe even involving water hehe 🙃

The most important part about being a nanny...

Giving them a healthy example of how to be themselves in a world that struggles to find the beauty in our differences.

My experience with special needs children...

As a non-neurotypical with multiple ADA disabilities, I'm still working to heal my own inner child from the lack of tender care I needed growing up in the public school systems. I choose to work with kids now because I don't want them to struggle the ways I did. Change is needed and I'm here to do what I can with all of my heart. If I'm unsure on how to handle a situation, I'll handle it the way I'd want it to be- with love. After the situation calms and time allows, then I would research what other options are out there to help make the experience feel even safer for all involved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Receiving video texts from your family of the kiddos crying and asking "where's my sami" because of how much they miss me.

Oh lawd, does that get tears in my eyes!!!! (I even cried a little just now as I pulled the video to get the exact quote she says and ahh how full she makes my heart. It's amazing how quick you can grow to love little humans.)
