Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Beyond nannying, I’ve also worked with kids in a variety of other roles. I was a camp counselor and certified lifeguard at a summer camp in Bel Air, where I supervised large groups, led activities, and ensured a fun and safe environment. I’ve also worked in after-school programs, helping children with homework, organizing games, and supporting their development in more structured settings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creative arts and crafts like painting, coloring, making DIY projects, or even using nature items like leaves and rocks for outdoor art. I also enjoy helping with learning through play, whether that’s doing simple science experiments, reading stories together, or practicing letters and numbers with games and flashcards. Staying active is always important, so I’ll often set up obstacle courses, lead dance parties, or take the kids on nature walks or scavenger hunts. When the weather is nice, I like to bring play outside with sidewalk chalk, water play, or even mini picnics in the yard. I also love simple, hands-on kitchen activities like baking cookies, decorating cupcakes, or making our own healthy snacks together. And just as important as fun and learning, I enjoy helping kids build social and emotional skills with things like role-playing games, gratitude talks, or kindness jar activities. Every day is a chance to make memories, learn something new, and have fun together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is important because it goes far beyond just watching children; it's about supporting their growth, development, and well-being during some of the most formative years of their lives. Nannies create a safe, nurturing environment where kids can feel secure, express themselves, and learn about the world through play, routine, and guidance.

Nannies also provide essential support to families by helping maintain structure at home, assisting with daily routines, and often becoming a trusted extension of the family. They build strong, lasting bonds with the children they care for and offer consistency that’s especially valuable in a child’s emotional and social development.

Ultimately, being a nanny means playing a meaningful role in shaping confident, kind, and capable young people and that makes the job not just important, but incredibly fulfilling.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked as a Behavioral Therapist Aide for a child who had sensory overload, ADD and other learning difficulties.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was at Ralphs when, all of a sudden, I felt a tiny human wrapped around my leg, it was one of the kids I nanny for during date nights twice a month! They recognized me and ran over with the biggest smile. Moments like that remind me how rewarding this job is. Even though I’m only with them a couple of times a month, it’s meaningful to know I’m making a positive impact in their life.
