I have worked with a lot of kids just within my family. We have a big family with lots of babies and I was always the one to take the kids and watch them while their parents were gone. Outside of family I've worked mostly with special needs kids and also with a few families during the holidays.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids to the park, outdoor and trampoline. I think it's the perfect way for them to have fun but also get all their energy out. Or if the weather is nice enough, getting sprinklers and water balloons and letting them play outside and have fun with that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me about being a nanny is the impact you have on a kid. Kids look up to us and learn from watching us so I think it's really cool how I could potentially help make a kid's life a little bit better or add something to their personality.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with autistic children within my family and out of my family. Because we have kids with autism in my family, I learned ways to help them feel better and more comfortable and safe around me and I think it's really important for them to have someone around outside of their family who can constantly help build their character and confidence and be a friend to them.
