Sturdy safe adults are essential for raising children. I have had the blessing of being close in proximity to my parents and family while raising my own children, so that I could also work full time. Working in Switzerland with two non-English speaking children was enlightening! There was a moment while playing outside when a neighbor came by frantically speaking French. It was the 3 almost 4 year old that was able to translate for us, indicating the woman had lost her dog. We were able to help her because of a toddler’s ability to translate!
