I love playing outside, making up creative games with kids, drawing with chalk, going for walks, blowing bubbles. I also love to play inside and read great books, build forts, play all types of "pretend" games, and sing and dance.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think there are a lot of important parts of being a nanny, of course safety and education, but also the bond you create with the child(ren). Creating a lasting, special bond is always a top priority for me.
My experience with special needs children...
I participated in "Park Pals" at Winter Park High School, which was an amazing opportunity for me to be able to create a great bond with our special needs group of students. I also volunteered at "Freedom Ride", a therapeutic horse back riding experience for 2 years where I worked with children with a variety of special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This memory always touched my heart, I was putting two children (the boy was 4 and the girl was 2) to sleep and the little girl looked at her brother and said "you are the best brother I ever had." It was such a sweet sibling moment and I was so happy to hear it!
