Hello! Thank you taking time to learn a little about me. I have been in the medical field since 2012 as medical assistant and specialize in family medicine with past experience in allergy and asthma. My studies and interest include child development, psychology, behavioral health, nutrition, and holistic medicine. I am married with 3 children. I enjoy time with family, being outdoors, gardening, cooking, planning events, the ability to teach and help others grow. My passion has always been helping others. I am starting a new chapter in my life and taking time away from medicine so I am able to raise my family. I am so passionate in helping others and feel I am being led in this direction. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started working with children at 10 years old babysitting. My passion didn't stop there, by 14 I was assisting in Sunday School. At 16 I was a nanny to 3 girls ages 5, 6, and 10. In 2011 I was offered a assistant teaching position at AppleTree learning center where I gained experience with children as young as 6 weeks old. I was determined to advance to our preschool room where I taught as many as 16 children per class. In 2012 I finished my certifications and started my career as a medical assistant specializing in pediatric allergies and asthma. As my family grew at home, I accepted a position closer to home as a nurse lead supervisor where I gained experience in family and internal medicine as well as specialised experience in asthma, infectious disease, immunology and allergies.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy opportunities where I am able to teach children things that often are not taught in traditional school settings such as gardening, baking, cooking, survival skills, and crafting. I also believe children learn and grow differently and daily activities and schedules should be specific to their individual needs.

My experience with special needs children...

As mentioned above I have experience working with special needs children as a medical professional and as a child care provider. It's a different experience as a medical professional providing various treatment options and solutions, giving support options and services that may help individual needs, or just providing education on each disability or condition vs the caregiver who then trials different strategies and coping skills that fit best for each child. In my experience I learned children respond and react differently. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, down syndrome, autism, depression, anxiety, history of trauma from different forms of abuse, children who have been bullied, personality disorders, ADHD, ODD, ADD, and mood disorders.
