I worked for over ten years in Munich Germany for a Montessori kinder Garten. 50 per cent of the children enrolled there were special needs, so I have vast experience with this. I have also worked for families with children with Several development issues.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Too many too mention, but all mainly with the humour factor. One stand out moment was in English with an English vocabulary not American English, It was when one of my lil charges would start to talk English/English, and at 4 years old she said, and I quote " Sarah aren't chips the most special thing in the whole wide world? Hello families! I am looking for some babies to love on, because at the end of the day, that is what has always been most important to me as a parent and what I always prioritized in the classroom. I have been with my husband for 26 years and I am mother of two. One of my children is 19, and a sophomore in college in NY. The other is 16, and a junior in high school here in Miami. I’m a Miami native, graduate of FSU and retired teacher of ten years. In that time I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, first and second grades. To this day I remain friends with many of the families whose children I taught. I even taught aftercare as a teenager, so I’ve been caring for children for 25 plus years. I can perform first aid and CPR, though my certifications have expired due to no longer being in the classroom. I am open to recertification at the families request. I am excited to meet families in my area that I can help. Open to part time and full time opportunities if the family is the right fit.
