Hello! I’m a 45 year old empty nester to two beautiful adult children. One of them on the spectrum. I prided myself on being a mom that focused on play, creation, and imagination. I have retained those caregiving skills and would love to help a family fill in busy spaces with that of a trusted person. It’s a privilege to care for a parents most precious creation. As an autism mom I know how difficult it can be to give someone that much trust. I know the mother that I am and I know I’m one of the good ones, fully trustworthy to care for others little ones. My earnings provide extra funds for me to continue making fun memories with my own kiddos. For parents, that’s a win win!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When my children were younger I worked as a parapro for Pre-k. I was very involved in PTA within my children’s schools and many other outreach programs. I most enjoyed advocating and helping parents of children with special needs receive the services they needed in school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy providing nourishing fun creative activities. Book readings, museums with hands on activities, nature treasure hunts. Finding wonder in the world and watching a child discover and learn about the world in a safe way is my favorite thing to see. I loved it with my own children and enjoy being a part of that for other children.

The most important part about being a nanny is the responsibility and trust that I am given. I do not take it lightly.

My experience with special needs children...

My son is 19 years old with autism. He is high functioning but is more at the functioning level of 10-12 years old. I was very involved in his supportive care at school and other intervention therapies. His favorite activity is cheerleading. He has been a United Python since he was 4 years old. Go Pythons!💙🖤
