A little bit about me

Children are my life’s purpose. I come from a family of teachers. I am a certified pre k -8 teacher. I’ve been teaching and caring for children for 25 years. My mother had a family day care in our house. Childcare is in my blood. I believe that excellent childcare starts from a place of love. I believe that children are a precious gift to the world and feel highly honored to spend my days in the company of children.

I have extensive knowledge of child development and methods. As a classroom teacher I learned to structure learning with objectives. I’ve carried that over into my methods of childcare. Everyday is a new opportunity to grow and learn. I’m here to facilitate developmentally appropriate activities, healthy meal routines, outdoor time and rest/naps. I incorporate early literacy concepts and language development into the daily schedule. I have a Masters Degree in linguistics and have extensive experience with teaching reading and literacy. I am warm and loving.
