I am a Purdue Student graduating this upcoming fall in Elementary Education. I have been volunteering and working with kids from 2 years old through High School since 5th Grade. I am frequently in the classroom and I am also willing to tutor / help keep your child's mind academically engaged during the summer break. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am in a classroom placement every semester where I take on roles as an assistant teacher. I also have been a Learn to Swim instructor through my club swim team. I was also a camp counselor last summer from May - July.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love making sure that kids are active and engaged during the summer. If preferred I can help assist in keeping their mind fresh on subjects related to school without it feeling like homework. I also am a big advocate for exploring, and taking opportunities for adventures like visiting the beach, park, and even the Zoo.

Maintaining the rules of the home and family while also ensuring that the children are being active and engaged, without remaining on their phones, electronics all day. As a nanny/ babysitter I am there to ensure that they are safe, taken care of, and are still challenging their minds and learning new things.

My favorite thing to see with any child is the moment that something sparks their interest or they finally have something click they have been struggling with. Having those "lightbulb" moments are always so fun to see.
