Hi! I’m Sarai, and I have over 8 years of experience working with children of all ages. I earned my Master’s in Education from Grand Canyon University and have a background in both classroom teaching and individualized childcare. I spent two years as a Montessori preschool teacher, two years teaching kindergarten, and a year and a half at Lauren’s Institute for Education, where I worked with children with a variety of learning needs. Throughout college, I also worked as a nanny and babysitter, giving me experience caring for children in their own homes and supporting each family’s unique routine. I also served as the Preschool Director at my church for three years. I love creating fun, engaging, and safe environments where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while building lasting relationships with both children and their families while giving parents peace of mind.

In addition to 8+ years as a nanny and babysitter, I hold a Master’s in Education and have taught at the preschool, elementary, and high school levels. I also worked at Lauren’s Institute for Education, providing educational support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and served as the Director of my church preschool. I love creating fun, engaging experiences that help children learn and grow. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, reading, baking, science experiments, music and dance, imaginative play, and educational games. I also enjoy getting kids out of the house for park visits, nature walks, libraries, museums, zoos, aquariums, and other age-appropriate adventures that encourage curiosity and exploration.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, and nonspeaking individuals. Through my work at Lauren’s Institute for Education, I’ve developed patience, adaptability, and individualized strategies to meet each child’s unique communication, learning, and behavioral needs while fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
