Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Beyond my volunteer work, I’ve always naturally taken on the role of caregiver when my extended family gets together. Whether it's keeping the little ones entertained with games, helping with meals, or making sure they're safe and happy, I’m usually the one who steps in to care for them. Spending time with my younger cousins and family friends’ children has taught me how to be patient, attentive, and fun, while still being responsible. These moments have helped me build strong instincts when it comes to childcare and have made me truly enjoy being around kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in creative and interactive activities that help them learn and grow while having fun. Some of my favorite things to do include reading storybooks, doing arts and crafts, playing educational games, singing songs, and enjoying outdoor playtime like going for walks or playing at the park. I also enjoy simple sensory activities like building with blocks, coloring, or doing puzzles—anything that encourages imagination and supports their development in a playful, loving way.

My experience with special needs children...

As part of the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) program in high school, I had the opportunity to work closely with a special needs student every week. This experience was incredibly meaningful and helped me grow in patience, empathy, and understanding. I spent time helping them with classroom activities, offering emotional support, and creating a positive, encouraging environment where they felt seen and included. It taught me how to communicate more thoughtfully, adapt to different needs, and approach every interaction with kindness and respect. This experience made me even more passionate about working with children and being someone they can trust and feel comfortable with.
