One of my favorite nanny moments is when I got my client I was working with out of being low functioning to higher functioning. Normally, I let the kids lead so that I can observe what they like and build rapport that way. But I wanted him to experience more things than being in the play area playing with trains. So I started getting him to play with others musical chairs going on walks eating different foods. Turns out he actually really likes engaging in those things. it made me feel good because he started to be more social and talk more because I prompted him a lot and encouraged him.
