Hello, I am a wife of 24 years a mother of 3 biological and 4 foster kiddos, a former SPED Teacher of 17 years, and a second-year homeschool teacher. I've pulled away from the public school education due to the overwhelming amount of disdain for education basics. I have opened my homeschool to private families as a “holistic learning” environment. I have turned my garage into my classroom to facilitate actual learning in an appropriate environment to foster student-led learning. The public education system has failed most “unconventional learners” in a way that broke my heart time and time again including my children. My new school year starts on August 25th.
