I am currently a rising senior at rising tide charter school in plymouth MA. I have lived in wareham my whole life, and have gone to school in plymouth from 5th grade to now. I have always loved working with children and being a role model to all. For the past 2 years I have been apart of a club where my peers and I host events for kids with special needs, these events range from movie nights to fun obstacle courses. I have also mentored younger students in theater and in sports for the past 4 years. I would love to be a teacher one day, and cannot wait to fulfill that dream!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For the last 3 years of highschool, I have enjoyed mentoring and teaching the younger kids in theater and dance, as well as planning events and games; such as movie nights, craft nights, and obstacle courses- for the kiddos with special accomidations. I really enjoy being outside, except for when it's raining, perfect time for a movie!

My experience with special needs children...

For 2 years, I have been the co leader of a club named "Inclusive events" where my peers and I take on the role of planning and hosting events for kids with disabilities. From field day, to just painting some bird houses, we couldn't enjoy what we do more! All the kiddos I have worked with have ranged from about 11-18, however, I do have reasonable experience working with a 3-4 year old who has diagnosed low functioning autism. He has taught me to not only be patient with others but also to be patient with myself.
