A little bit about me

Kind, caring, and patient caregiver with a one year old of my own. You would need to be comfortable with my one year old accompanying me to nannying opportunities. I am currently attending college for infant/toddler early education and my goal is to help encourage a sense of accomplishment in children by encouraging independence and teaching them how to do things rather than always doing everything for them with the mindset that “they can’t do it”. I believe children are more capable and intelligent than they are often credited and I love to foster an environment of play and learning. My own son was potty trained and completely out of diapers by 13 months and we did EC and he used a potty from 7 weeks old. I love to include children in daily tasks to help them learn life skills and feel the sense of importance through their help. I am a very responsible and dependable person who is comfortable with dogs and light chores as they pertain to childcare.

I worked at a pediatric Occupational Therapy Center as an aide as well as the library. I used to give horseback riding lessons to kids of all ages as well as help give lessons to special needs kids

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some of the things I like to do our crafts, allowing them to help with baking and meal prep as they are able, time spent outdoors, going to parks, going on walks, reading, going to story time. I like to encourage them to be independent and feel a sense of accomplishment by setting them up for success in many tasks.
