I have been a substitute teacher for a little over a year. I also grew up helping to raise my younger siblings and cousins. Additionally I spent 2 summers volunteering for the city of Covina in summer camp programs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going on walks and teaching kids about the earth and doing arts and crafts! If caregivers feel comfortable I would love to do small cooking activities with kids as well!
My experience with special needs children...
I have substituted in both mild to moderate and moderate to severe special needs classes for week long periods. I also have baby say my nephew who is non verbal and autistic a few times! I am comfortable around children with special needs!
