A little bit about me

My name is Sequoia. I am currently in school pursuing a degree in teaching and special education. I have always enjoyed working with kids. During the pandemic, I was a nanny for three young boys who solidified my desire to go into teaching. I enjoyed creating a stimulating schedule for all three of them, emphasizing creative play and empathy for one another. I currently work as a para educator at a public elementary in special education and I adore my job. In addition to work and school, I spend most of my free time with my two dogs, Cedar and Lily. I’m looking for 20–30 hours a week on weekdays during summer break, which I’m hoping would work for a family needing care when school is not in session. I will need most weekends off except for the occasional date night if arranged in advance. I have a reliable car and am happy to provide transportation to different activities.
