Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked and volunteered at my church in the children classes ages infant- 5 years old. I worked at daycares since i was 16 (infant - school aged) and worked at an elementary school in the after care program, and also an assistant for teachers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Love being outside with them playing games, running, picnic, playgrounds, anything outside really. Love creative crafts to do with them via pinterest or anything i see at a store that looks fun and age appropriate. Love learning games and activities that will teach them something. Also LOVE to teach about breath work and helping them work through strong emotions when that comes up!
The most important part about being a nanny...
is being basically family. Making the love known, being present, helping in any way, and being able to make a positive influence on the foundation of their life.
My experience with special needs children...
I assisted in a special needs classroom for a couple years, taking kids to different classes and helping them with anything they needed. Also babysat a boy with autism for years, a girl with down syndrome for years, and a disabled boy in a wheelchair every now and then.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment, is simply just watching them grow up. Being able to be with them long enough to watch them grow into their own person is so beautiful.
