Hi! My name is Serenity, and I recently graduated in June. I completed the Careers in Education program and earned a Certificate of Completion, gaining four years of hands-on experience working in classrooms and learning child development. I’ve helped teachers, supported students, and created fun, safe activities for children of all ages. I’m reliable, patient, and love engaging kids with crafts, games, reading time, and outdoor play. I can also help with simple meals, homework, routines, and maintaining a positive environment.I’m currently in college studying to become an addiction counselor, so caring for others and supporting healthy development is very important to me.I’m looking for a babysitting or nanny position where I can use my experience and passion for helping kids learn, grow, and feel cared for. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids engaged with fun and age-appropriate activities. Some of my favorite things to do with children include arts and crafts, reading stories, and playing both indoor and outdoor games. I enjoy taking kids to the park, doing sidewalk chalk, building forts, working on puzzles, and creating simple crafts together. I also like helping with homework, doing educational activities, and even making small kid-friendly snacks if parents allow it. My goal is always to make sure children feel safe, entertained, and supported while having a great time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine connection with the child. When kids feel safe, understood, and bonded with their caregiver, they are more confident, open, and comfortable. A strong connection helps create trust, which makes everything else-learning, routines, behavior, and communication, much smoother. It also allows me to understand each child’s personality, needs, and emotions so I can support them in the best way possible.

My experience with special needs children...

During high school, I had the opportunity to work with special needs students as part of my Careers in Education program. I supported students with different learning needs by helping with classroom activities, providing one-on-one assistance, and encouraging positive social and academic skills. This experience taught me patience, understanding, and how to adapt activities to fit each child’s abilities. I’m comfortable working with children who need extra support and always aim to make them feel included, safe, and confident.
