I am a Postpartum Doula. I worked with a the BUDDIES program my freshman year of UCONN which was a big brother/sister similar program for the mentally impaired. While I was at UCONN I was also a very active member of the ASL club which allowed us to host and escort children from the American School of the Deaf to and from certain programs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading with children the most. It is amazing to see where you can go in the world through a book. I also enjoy learning and teaching through song and dance. Another favorite is crafting with the children, they can create their own stories, artwork, and gifts for mom and dad.
