A little bit about me

I am a single parent of four children. They all do athletics after school. My hours can be from 6:00 to 3:00 and I'm not available for weekends. I just left my job at a daycare being the lead teacher before your preschool class. I have had that class for the last two and a half years. Before that class I was and after school teacher and before that I was in the 3 year old classroom. I was at my last job for four and a half years. I am originally from South Carolina where I worked in the Colleton county School district. There I worked with Head start all the way up to 12th graders. I have CPR and first aid certification. I also have the credentials for working with children and other certification that goes along with child care. I love children and I love to help.

My last job was stepping stones learning academy number 5. The address is 6016 Fisher road. There I used to be the lead teacher for the 4-year-old classroom, after school teacher and 3 year old teacher. In colleton county I work with low country Head start. There I work with 3- year-olds - 5 year olds. While at Colleton county School district I work with children from kindergarten to 12th grade. Before moving to North Carolina I used to be a volunteer cheerleading coach and softball coach.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy being with children. Whether it is teaching or just going to their activities outside of school. I'm an active mom. So I'm at every event that my children have. Whether it's academically or athletically.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being able to care for others. The experience with children are priceless. They show you love unconditionally. It brings me joy to know that I'm helping someone and I receive the love of their children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with autism. Two was highly functioning and one was on the low end of the spectrum. I have been trying to learn sign language because I feel that will come in handy. While in the Colleton county School district I have substituted in the special needs classroom multiple times. I have also worked in home health care where I took care of and disabled veterans who had brain injuries.
