I’m looking to transition from full-time work to part-time nannying while I complete college. For my first semester, I’d like to start part-time due to a heavier class schedule, but I hope to expand my hours as the school year progresses. I am CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified and have been caring for children since I was 13 through neighborhood daycare and after-school programs. I have both paid and volunteer experience because caring for children is something I truly love. I have experience with children of different ages, including those with autism, multiple children at once, pets, cooking, meal prep, completing errands, and helping with light household chores. I’m studying Interdisciplinary Studies and plan to become a school counselor for children and adults. I’m hoping to find a family where I can build a trusting relationship, provide a safe, nurturing environment, and support both the children and parents with dependable, compassionate care.

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe in building strong relationships with both the children and their parents through open communication, patience, consistency, and respect. My goal is not only to help children learn and grow but also to give families peace of mind, knowing their children are cared for with kindness, compassion, and genuine dedication.

I have experience caring for children with autism and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, supportive environment. I adapt to each child’s individual needs, communicate calmly, and enjoy helping them build confidence through routines, play, and positive encouragement. I believe every child deserves compassionate, respectful care where they feel understood, supported, and valued.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child I cared for earned second place at a swim tournament. He was disappointed because he’s very competitive and had hoped for first place. I reminded him how difficult swimming is, how hard he had worked, and how proud I was of him regardless of the medal. Seeing his confidence return meant so much to me. At his next tournament, he surprised me by saving his admission ticket just for me as a thank-you. It was a small gesture that showed the trust and bond we had built, and it’s a memory I’ll always cherish.
