Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a preschool setting for 3yrs. I have an ECE level 1. Have worked as live in nanny and a live out. I have experience caring for special needs, Multiples and children with ongoing medical needs. I have also worked at a children's home for children ages 5-17. I have experience watching and caring for children birth to 13. I have accompanied families on dr visits,therapies,vacations,family outings and also stayed with children while parents were away on business or leisure in and out of the country.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking kids on nature walks, bike rides/stroller wagon rides and to play at different parks. Splash pads and swimming, sledding jumping in puddles when weather is right and to close Kid friendly events. And just playing outside in general with chalk,Tie dye, a ball even pickniking. I like to keep kids moving. Sometimes its just to Hot or cold or storming so library’s , indoor play gyms, reading books, Age appropriate crafts, games, playing with all toys, making simple recipes together And coming up with activities that help them meet certain milestones or work on a skill that needs improved All while making it fun an engaging for the child

The most important part about being a nanny...

A love for kids is a must, If you don't love kids being a nanny is not right profession for you. I believe it Very Important to be a good role model for the kids. Its very Important to communicate with your families so you can provide care the parent would want.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with behavioral needs, Sensory processing disorders, Children with CP, Failure to Thrive, Epilepsy, asthma, food allergies, Spina Bifida, learning disabilities, speech and premature babies.I am confident giving emergency meds and getting them to where they need to be in an emergency situation calmly and going to any therapies An engaging in the session so I can learn how to properly help and integrate the therapy into our everyday play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A moment that Sticks out to me is the time when a child in my care whom had odds stacked against them, walked with out any assistance the look on child's face was priceless!
