More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently working my 3rd year as a Kindergarten Teacher. I started my journey working with little ones at 14 during the summers as a camp counselor. From there I went on to North Tech High School where I took up Early Childhood Education, where I worked hands on in a preschool setting with 2-5 year olds. I also worked one summer at a daycare during college where I rotated care for children aged toddlers-middle school. Post graduating from college I have served in my current district for 4 years working as a Teacher Assistant in a preschool inclusion classroom, where I worked with students who have special needs from autism to other disabilities. I have been working with children for the past 12 years now. I love my work and what I do.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The main goal is always fun! Fun in everything we do rather that is educational work days bridging the gap to prepare them for school. Or if that’s planned activities like water fun days, park, library visits, zoo, science center, etc. I love to do it all!

My experience with special needs children...

I am not a certified sped teacher. But I have a couple years of experience with special needs children. I have mainly worked with autistic children on different parts of the spectrum from high functioning to nonverbal.
