More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
13 years as a nanny for a Doctor. They started out being 5, 2 and 3 years later the baby came along. I carpooled, took kids to lessons, golf, guitar, piano, church. We went to the zoo, children's museum and various outside activities. We played with Legos, made paper airplanes, read many books, played games. I did the children's laundry and tried to keep the house nice and clean though this was not required of me. I prepped dinner on many nights. I left due to Covid as it was so uncertain at first. The children were now in high school and 5th grade. I walked the dogs and took the lab for a good run on the horse trails while the kids were in school. I ran errands for the parents, groceries, dry cleaners, Walgreens, took dog to vet. It was a great rewarding job.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoyed everything we did together. I loved nurturing them and watching them become all A students. I would like to think I had a part in helping these kids to become kind, responsible adults and soon to be middle schooler. Life was such an adventure using our imaginations to have fun. I loved watching them grow with their music and their golf. Im proud to say that the oldest boy has been accepted into a private prestige University in the fall.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Picking the right nanny is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. Spending g the time, nurturing them, teaching them to live a kind caring life towards others. Being the person who is in charge in a kind respectful way in a way that they understand. Teaching them and watch I ng them grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven't really worked with any special needs but am willing to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many, but I have many on video and the ability to go back and watch a 5 year old put a 900 piece lego set together or singing into a microphone when her could hardly talk. Watching the older boy participate in robotics, building from scratch. Watching them play in golf tournaments making unbelievable shots. Telling crazy jokes and always trying to trick me, which many times they did.
