I have been a child welfare social worker that works directly with children and families for the past 8 years. I frequently transport and solely care for children of various ages, but have extensive and recent experience with newborns and children under 5 years.

Some of my favorite activities to do with children are outings in the community (park, library, museum), arts & crafts, playing games that support child development and all things outdoors!

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with special needs children both professionally and personally. My youngest brother is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and I have worked with a wide array of children with trauma histories and behavioral needs in my job as a child welfare social worker, including children with diagnoses including (but not limited to): ADHD, PTSD, ODD, trauma related disorders, Autism, anxiety and depression. I am also neurodivergent myself, and have lived experience to be a support to your neurodivergent child/family.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments have been watching my long-term kiddos achieve major milestones. I have a family that I've been working with for 8+ years and seeing their kiddos grow up has been emotional in all the best ways!
