More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Building the coolest forts EVER, baking colorful treats, painting, going for walks, water balloons, taking to trampoline parks (pre-covid), playing doll salon (I know the hacks to fixing doll hair), puzzles, hot lava games with chalk, and so much more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being patient and compassionate. I am not the type to immediately punish, get frustrated or yell.
For example, J had hit Analise with a toy and I was in the hallway next to the room with Liliana. I heard the commotion and ran over, Analise was crying. I asked them what happened and was told that analise had taken something from J, and J wanted to play with that thing so he hit her with another toy on her hand.
I picked up Analise to console her, and we all had a talk.
The first thing we talked about was an apology, from both ends as they were both culprits.
The second thing we talked about was what they could have done instead.
The third thing we talked about was what was going to happen if it happened again.
I have noticed when patience runs out in adults, kids can sense it and lose their ability to listen.

The most important part about being a nanny...
A few weeks ago it was snowing, I took the kids outside in the last 30-minutes I had with them to play with the little amount that had collected. I had gotten a juice pouch for Analise and I turned around to J eating snow. I asked him how it was and he said "yummmy"
He then said "but I just ate some other snow and it was yucky"
I said "did you eat some dirt, J?"
he blushed, said "I dont know" laughed and ran away.
It made my day.
