A little bit about me

I am a teacher at heart! I currently have two (Florida) state licenses that require background checks and fingerprinting! A Real Estate License and a Certified Driving Instructor License! I have over 8k hours responsibly teaching new drivers (15yrs+) how to drive! I have maintained my Florida real estate license successfully for 30+ years. I completed required early childhood education as I worked as a preschool teacher (2yrs) in infant and toddler classrooms and worked as a private nanny for an attorney. (1.5 yrs.) I was in a US Coast Guard babysitting Military co-op, and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher in N.Y. My greatest pride and joy is my son. He is 33 yrs old and happily married! I believe children and families need loving, emotionally intelligent people in their lives more than ever. My hobbies are reading, writing poetry, songwriting, photography and playing guitar. I believe in less screen time and more creative art, reading, music and lots of outdoor play!

Setting a good example for children is important. Creating a space for joy while maintaining healthy boundaries and fostering growth is essential!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many years of memories working with children. Each memory holds a special place in my heart. Every child all ages is beautiful and unique. My favorite nanny moment was when a young child whispered to me I was their "best friend"! I will always remember receiving special pieces of art children made "especially for me"! These moments that come as a surprise are so rewarding. Special moments that tell you, you are in the right place and reaching the heart of a little one. I believe taking the whole child into consideration is vital to their well-being! I believe in having meaning conversations with children, talking about stories we are reading aloud. I loved and remember listening to music and singing and playing instruments with an entire class of children! Lots of memories swinging on swings, circle times, making art, building blocks, helping children grow confidence in their abilities.!
