I was raised by special needs parents: my father was deaf and my mother hard of hearing. I was a camp counselor at Camo Krem which is a special needs camp in the Santa Cruz mountains. I also helped care for a lady with MS in a wheelchair for 2 years when my mom was her caregiver.
