A mother of 3 now grown children I raised by myself, so very experienced with kids of all ages and stages of youth. I use a hands on approach with kids and believe that learning comes by doing and practical application encouraging children to feel empowered that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to. I feel that it is important for kids to have chores (appropriate to their age) and are more capable than what they are allowed to be.
