A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Siena, I am 24 years old and I have been babysitting and nannying since I was 15 years old. I have experience with 4 children at one time varying from ages 6 months to 12 years old and absolutely love kids! I’m a huge advocate for the outdoors and imaginative play and have a knack with children. I’m a great cook that has a health first mindset, an excellent driver with a safe car, a positive role model, and truly understand how to communicate with children. Along with childcare, I have also been a camp counselor, and have run my own tennis clinic with 7-10 year olds. Every child is different but I enjoy engaging in imaginative play. Whether that be making games from chalk outside or making up games on the spot, it’s important to step away from the screen and discover the world around you through imagination. I love to be active and play tennis, football, basketball, soccer, swim, or any sport outside that gets all the kids involved and having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a strong role model and an excellent de-escalator. Children have big emotions and it’s a top priority to model healthy emotions and encourage children to understand what they are feeling. Being a nanny means you have a part in shaping who a child becomes, and it isn’t something I take lightly. It’s also imperative that you are an example of a safe adult who is attentive and fun and someone the children and parents can trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many! Playing flag football, being doused in every scent of bath and body works hand sanitizer that the 4 year old I watched so desperately wanted to show off, playing mermaids in the pool, and building empires from legos. Each memory is filled with so much joy.
