A little bit about me

Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, I have developed a deep love for the outdoors and an adventurous spirit. My passion for physical activity is evident in my seven years of competitive volleyball, where I honed my teamwork and leadership skills. I enjoy hiking, rafting, camping, and exploring new things.
With four years of experience coaching gymnastics, I have cultivated patience and adaptability, allowing me to connect with children of all ages and help them achieve their goals. My background in aerial circus adds a fun and unique twist to my approach, promoting creativity and movement in a safe and supportive environment.
I pride myself on being a bubbly and kind person who values communication and social interactions. I love cooking and baking, often using these skills to create engaging and educational experiences in the kitchen with children. Additionally, I am a very clean person who maintains a tidy environment, ensuring a safe and organized space for play and learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a nanny is watching children grow and develop over time. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see them work diligently towards their goals, whether it’s mastering a new skill, excelling in school, or reaching personal milestones. Every achievement, no matter how small, feels like a shared victory, and it brings immense joy to be part of their journey and support their dreams.

My experience with special needs children...

I have gained exposure to various care patterns for children with special needs through my work with Special Olympics and as a peer tutor for kids with Down syndrome, autism, Sanfilippo syndrome, spina bifida, and cerebral palsy. During my time with these children, I received training on how to administer feeds through J-tubes and G-tubes, as well as how to flush and change them and administer medications. I also learned how to operate several different speech applications on an iPad.

Blu S. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Blu S.

Hi I’m Blu. My very first job was babysitting and I’ve never worked a job to this day that didn’t involve child care. I have experience as a youth sports coach, mental health counselor, tutor, elementary aide, preschool teacher, and nanny of course! I have maintained CPr/first aid certifications for over 10 years. My bachelor’s degree is in psychology with a minor in early intervention and early childhood special education. And while all of that is very serious to me, I just may be the silliest adult you’ve ever met. My passion lies in watching children learn and grow on their terms while maintaining boundaries and safety. I truly care about every family and child I have ever worked with and will become a loyal and supportive part of any household that I am welcomed into.
