More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare in the infant room last year for only a few months before deciding to go back to security due to car issues and only having one car between my boyfriend and I (no longer an issue). However, I absolutely loved it. I had 4 babies to my full responsibility for around 45 hrs/week, so although I wasn’t there for long, I consider that a lot of experience. I learned a lot there. I started my nanny career on 2/28. It’s been great, but the one year old I nanny got accepted into daycare.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Crafts, movie night, baking, walks, going to the park, zoo, ice cream day, swimming, making learning fun, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is growing with the children. To be their caretaker and their friend. To be there for not only the kids, but for the parents and ensure that the kids are safe and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
I was a peer tutor for special needs students my senior year of high school. I have some experience with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and autism. I have an autistic little cousin (my older cousin’s son) that I’ve lived with and learned his triggers and what helps with his anxiety.
