I’m a creative person and I think that’s a big part of being a nanny. No two days are ever the same. Knowing you’ve contributed to a nice childhood is so rewarding! I really love supporting kids, and being there for them, knowing that I’m making a difference. You have fun (whilst being responsible) and you really know when you’ve done a good job. You know you’ve worked hard but it’s been fun and that’s rewarding. I love working with kids, it’s rewarding and a great way to learn crucial things about being a future parent. Being brought up in a big family has taught me a lot about childcare and the special touch it needs to ensure communication is strong and that our respect for one another is equally balanced. I find being around children to be uplifting and energizing, especially when invited to view the world through their lens and explore their curiosity with them. Their abundant creativity, playfulness and innocence feels therapeutic to me.
