I was an on and off nanny for a family with two young boys ages 1-5 for about two years. I have also done lots of babysitting for children ages 1-12!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am ready and excited for just about anything a kid may want to get in to. Some of my favorites though are definitely spending time outdoors. Whether it’s a hike, hanging out at a local park, or just playing in the backyard, I am excited to be outside with the fresh air! Another one of my big interests when with children is games. Board games, hands on games, anything you can think of!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I feel that the most important part of being a nanny is to be understanding and supportive. Children are learning more every day about the world around them and how to navigate it. While also being fun, adventurous, and easy to hangout with, we have to realize that these kids are just figuring it out along the way. We are teaching kids how to be the best they can be, and that starts with kindness and support to figure it out for themselves!
