Hi my name is Skylar. My love for watching children started when my mother stopped having children at her sixth child. I was the oldest and the only girl with 5 younger brothers. Their ages vary between 3-18. I graduated from GCMS May of 2019. I am a insured and licensed driver with my own vehicle so transportation is not a problem for me. I worked through the state for Babysitting for awhile and had such a fun experience which led me to want to do more!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mother was a Boy Scout leader and I would step up and help during her den meetings with the children. I also worked through Respite Care through the state. During my junior year of high school our Child Development class had made a preschool out of the class room where parents could bring their children for an hour before their actual classes at the elementary for pre-k or ECE.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Love to go outside, go to the park, stay inside and play games, make popcorn and watch movies, color, I’ll mainly do whatever the child is wanting to do and if it’s something unreasonable, I’ll always figure something out!

I have cared for children with Autism and Leukemia, which means I also know my way around a lot of medication and I know quite a bit of coping mechanisms!

Whenever I would go to my latest family I used to sit for, the parents would always tell me how their boys would ask “Is Skylar coming today. I want to play again” and it just brightened me up knowing that I was doing my job well.
