Activities I enjoy doing with children...
enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun and educational activities that stimulate their creativity and help them learn while having fun. Some of the activities I love doing with children include arts and crafts, where we can get messy and make fun projects together; reading books and telling stories to encourage their imagination; and playing outdoor games like hide and seek or scavenger hunts, which help burn energy and promote teamwork. I also enjoy doing puzzles, building with blocks, or having music and dance sessions, as these are great ways to develop their motor skills and sense of rhythm. Overall, I strive to create an environment where children feel safe, excited, and inspired to explore and learn!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building a trusting and nurturing relationship with both the child and their family. Children thrive when they feel safe, supported, and understood, and as a nanny, I believe it’s my job to create that environment. Consistency, patience, and open communication are key. It’s not just about supervising—it’s about being a positive role model, supporting their development, and being someone they can count on emotionally and physically. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life, and that’s a responsibility I take seriously.
My experience with special needs children...
I have valuable experience working with children who have special needs, both in educational and recreational settings. I taught swim lessons to children with special needs, where I focused on building trust, creating a calm environment, and adapting instruction to meet each child's individual needs and abilities. Additionally, I work with Cincinnati Public Schools, supporting students within special needs units. In this role, I work one-on-one with students, helping them with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and communication, and has helped me become skilled at recognizing and responding to a variety of unique needs and learning styles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny is seeing how much children grow over time—both in what they can do and in who they are becoming. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of that journey, whether it’s watching a toddler say their first words, seeing a child gain confidence reading aloud, or witnessing how they start solving problems on their own. Being able to support and encourage them through each stage is one of the most fulfilling parts of this job. I love knowing that I’ve played a small role in helping them grow into curious, kind, and capable individuals.
