I think the most important part is remembering that children have the most unique minds ever and to let them shine every single day. I think it’s important to acknowledge that no two children are the same in any aspect and that it is my job to let them know that they are allowed to be themselves and do not need to adjust for anyone.

My favorite moment I’ve ever had at the YMCA was when we went to Legoland and I helped a kid conquer his fear of roller coasters. This is my favorite moment because I remember that I was that kid who held on tight to my moms arm looking down and then loved it afterwards and it felt so good to see a kid end that ride with a smile on his face, letting go of my arm and asking if we can go again.
