Hi! I am Sofia. I recently graduated with a major in Human Development and Family Sciences and a minor in Childhood Studies. I have numerous years of childcare experience, with the most recent being three years of paid childcare working as a preschool teacher in Shelburne. Additionally, I have experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy working with young children diagnosed with autism.
I prioritize creating and maintaining stable, warm, and responsive connections with young children. In working with young children, I aim to facilitate healthy development by fostering a sense of relational closeness that supports autonomous play and exploration. By participating in and supporting children's development, I, too, learn and grow alongside children's innate need to explore and seek connection.
