More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Prior to beginning college I spent 3 months in Spain as a live in au pair (nanny) for two children aged 5 and 7. I made them meals, took them to school, helped them with homework, did extracurricular activities with them. I also completed daily housework tasks such as laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, organizing the children’s rooms.
In high school I worked for the Community Integration Mentoring Program (CIMP) where I mentored children ranging from ages 8-15 in underprivileged communities supporting them in English literacy, high school academics, and college preparation.
In high school I also regularly cared for two young children ages 5 and 9. I often did outdoor activities with them, helped them with homework, and cleaned my employer’s house as needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are fun and help support a child’s development. Indoors, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, story time, building with blocks or legos, and playing educational games or puzzles. Outdoors, I like going on walks, trips to the park, or simple sports like soccer or catch. I always aim to balance fun with learning, and tailor activities to each child’s interests and abilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, fun, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable enough to shine as their full selves. I focus on building trust and consistency so each child knows they are supported.
