My 2 year old charge had a potty accident, and we had forgotten to pack a change of clothes because we were very close to the home . So I took her baby brothers cotton / linen blanket and made her a dress out of it . Then I took a picture and sent it to her mom .
She sent a laughing emoji and said : you are very resourceful, great job .
And since her shoes were also wet , I had her stand behind her brother in the stroller as we walked home .
