I have interned and worked with a wide variety of children, including children with special needs, at Issacs Early Childhood Center. This experience helped me develop strong communication, patience, and caregiving skills. I have also helped care for my friends' children since they were just 3 months old, giving me hands on experience with infants.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outdoors and encouraging children to explore and play in nature. I enjoy planning fun, hands-on activities that keep kids engaged, active, and learning. Board games, crafts, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, and creative projects are some of my favorite ways to spend time with children. While I can certainly follow a family's preferences regarding screen time, I personally prefer interactive activities over TV or iPads and enjoy finding new ways to keep kids entertained, curious, and involved.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is safety. Watching children closely is crucial because you never know what they might get into, especially when they're young. Infants and toddlers can get hurt very quickly, and babies can roll over, choke, or have other emergencies without warning. Being attentive isn't optional when it comes to childcare, it's a necessity. I believe children deserve constant supervision and a caregiver who is always aware of their surroundings and needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite experiences working with children was with a little boy I babysat who was about one year old when I first started caring for him. He was very shy and would cry every time his mom left. I spent many days comforting him, holding him, and helping him feel safe and secure while she was away. One day, after months of building that trust, I arrived at his house and he had just started walking. As soon as he saw me, he walked right over, lifted his little arms up, and wanted me to hold him. His mom left, and for the first time, he didn't cry. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children. Seeing the trust, comfort, and connection that develop over time makes me incredibly happy and shows me that the care and effort I put into each child truly make a difference.
