I just completed my first set of clinicals in the spring at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, where a portion of my hands-on learning was on the Pediatrics floor. I have also been a tutor for children and teenagers aged 6-16 for 4 and a half years now.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Whatever they like to do! My personal favorite is always dolls and playing pretend (shopping, kitchen, etc…) but I’ve also grown quite fond of enrichment such as magnets, coloring and stacking! But I’m also good with pushing swings too 😉
My experience with special needs children...
Thus far in my childcare career, I have had the pleasurable opportunities to watch children whom have had Down syndrome, Autism, and/or non-verbal. I treat these children just like any other, with patience and care! Feel free to ask me about any extensive care questions you may have.
