More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I'm approaching 4 years of nannying now, along side babysitting for families for 3 years as well, in total, working 7 years providing child care. I've also worked at summer camps as a camp counselor. The ages of the children range from 1 yr old to 16 years old. Though most my experience is with toddlers. As a nanny, I also have carried out meal prep and house cleaning and organization.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love helping kids learn and experience the world in any realm-- whether that is playing at the park, going on nature hikes, reading books, coloring and doing art projects, or cooking in the kitchen. I think the best thing is to see a child's perspective grow as they learn from new experiences and find what they love.

While being a studio assistant at a summer arts program, I helped assist a child with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have numerous moments that have made me smile while caring with kids, but it's pretty awesome to see a kid face a fear. There was one child who was very anxious about camp drop off, however, over time, I was able to see the child gain perspective, understanding about the camp, try new things, and gain confidence in herself. On her last day of being dropped off at camp, the child was actually sad that she couldn't go back! I was so proud of that child.
