A little bit about me

Hi there! I love working with children of all ages! From a young age, I have always loved teaching and inspiring the youngest children. My experience throughout middle and high school as an alpine and nordic ski instructor allowed me to gather knowledge and expertise with young children. This experience led me to becoming an infant/toddler teacher in a Reggio inspired early childhood school in Norwich, VT. This approach embraces children's innate knowledge and recognizes that children have so many languages (or ways of expressing themselves). As teachers, we honor all these ways the children express themselves and help them to become the capable, confident and independent individuals we know they can be. I would love to use this experience as well as my love of cooking and the outdoors to help out a family in their daily lives.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Any and everything with children! I love spending time outside, in the summer or winter. Anything that I enjoy doing outside, I enjoy doing with children outside too. I hike, swim, paddle board, ski, snowboard, ice skate or just play! As for inside activities, I love to cook! During my time as as teacher, I spent time each week cooking with the toddlers and preschooler. We made any number of things from smoothies to soups to latkes, we experiment with it all. I would love to bring that love to any children that I would be working with. I also love reading and any artistic expression! And would of course do those things extensively with any children in my care.
