A little bit about me

My name is Sophie, and I am currently a junior at the College of Charleston working toward my degree in special education. The past two summers I have spent nannying. Most recently, I worked approximately 25 hours per week with a single mother and her 11 year old twins. Responsibilities included planning out fun activities and engaging days, light meal preparation, and coordinating rides to and from activities. Previous to that, I worked full time, anywhere from 45-60 hours per week, with a family with two boys, aged 6 and 8t. My responsibilities included administering online school, which was taught partially in German, communicating with the teachers, planning engaging and fun days for the children, rides to and from activities, errands, and light housekeeping. Beyond these positions, I have worked at my local country club's summer camp, as well as a preschool. Through my academics, I have learned lots on childhood development, and how to foster a healthy environment for children.
